Marker Square

 

There's always something happening in Marker Square. Serving as the entrance to the park, this is an area based off of the big American cities of the Roaring Twenties. Taking inspiration from cities like New York and Chicago, the area has a bunch of tall buildings, all between two and eight stories high, along with a bunch of streets with names referring to what can be found there. There is also a bunch of fictional businesses named after people who helped production in the park.

Once you enter through the park's main gates, you will emerge into a small area where a big hill with the City Hall sits, where you can get help and services. Cut into the flesh of the hills are twin tunnels going into the park. Both tunnels are lined with posters advertising the attractions on both sides. 

There are three roads when you come through. On the left is Hall Boulevard, on the right is Arrington way, and in the middle is the Main Street, where you can get your first glimpse of Shahryar's Palace. On Hall Boulevard, you can find shopping and dining experiences in Charlie's Pet Emporium, Antonio's Italian Restaurant, Carter and Son's Antique Shop, Louis's Jazz Club, Brian's Department Store, The Marker Mercantile Store, which is the largest store in the park, and Uncle Mason's American, which displays a bunch of concept art made when working on the theme park. On Arrington way, you will find shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences in Iceman Ice Cream Company, Carriage Clothing, Think-bot Toy Store, Bright Light Photography, Empress Jewelry, and the Classic Cinema, where you can watch classic cartoons. Down Main Street, you can eat and dine at Carmen's Candy, Main Street Deli, and Dazzle Decor, and you can also meet and greet Buffalo at the Marker Greetings House.

Arrington Way turns to the left and takes you to Yesterday Street, which goes from the connection to Main Street to the passage to World of Yesterday. Before reaching that street, there is a break-off to the left which then connects with Yesterday Street to the right. This road is called Buck Lane, which the Jolly Holly Christmas Shop is accessible. Surrounded by these three streets is Hancock Park, where jazz musicians can be heard playing from time to time in the gazebo at the center.

Hall Boulevard turns to the right and takes you to Mystery Street, which goes from the passage to the World of Mystery to the connection to Main Street. Going down Mystery Street, there is a u-shaped street called Harmony Avenue. This street goes around the magnificent Rose Red Theater where the live performances of Ignite the Wondrous Dream--An Original Musical are held every hour. There is also a small side road where parades usually start. Behind the theater is a small building where Making Marker: the Story of Markerland, a gallery full of artifacts telling of the park's history and development are, is showcased. Across the street from the theater is the Dockside Market, where you can buy some snacks.

At the end of Main Street is a stage where entertainment performs. This includes the Wonderful Welcome Show in the mornings, Markerland Marching Band, and The Magical Music Montage, the latter of which Marker characters sing and dance for the audience, both of which happen throughout the day.

There are lots of transportation systems here from Horse-drawn trolleys to Pickup Trucks and even some Automobiles. There is an underground train station which has its entrance near the Rose Red Theater, where you can board a Markerland Express train and go to the stations in World of Rivers and Atlantic Road.
